Student workshop on the production
and safety of plant products

From 26 to 30 June, the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology organized a training course focused on the production and safety of plant products. This course was held within the framework of the international cooperation FoodInovo. 

A total of 18 foreign students from two Slovak and one Polish university participated in the event. In addition to the professional programme focused on typical Czech technologies and procedures of food safety control in the Czech Republic, the students also participated in professional excursions in Brno and Cejkovice. Experts from practice, namely from Cesk, Chicas Industry, Crunchy, Sonnentor and U Richard brewery, also participated in the course content. The course covered the production and processing of honey, beer, herbal tea blends, ice cream, coffee and insects as a new food.

The students were also interested in leisure activities, such as a tour of Brno, where they were accompanied by DSP students Jana Čaloudová, Kateřina Křištofová and Dr. Marie Bartlová.
